Cooler temperatures in Metro Vancouver this weekend

Aug 18 2017, 9:52 pm

Summerlike conditions in Metro Vancouver seem to be winding down at this halfway point in the month of August.

Environment Canada’s latest forecast for the region calls for mainly cloudy skies throughout the weekend, although this could change to sunshine in the afternoons of both Saturday and Sunday.

Rainfall is possible beginning late Friday night, but it should stop early Saturday morning, just in time for The Fair at the PNE’s opening day.

Temperature highs by the water in Vancouver will hover at around 20°C during the daytime and 14°C at night. Warmer conditions and ample sunshine are currently forecasted for next week.

Wildfire smoke is not in the forecast for the foreseeable future.
