April showers will finally arrive in Metro Vancouver, bringing an end to the summer-like conditions the region experienced over the past few days.

Environment Canada’s forecast indicates that a ridge in the jet stream will gradually dissipate, which means the recent bout of warm and sunny weather will end.

Rainfall and a cloudy overcast is expected for most of the week, although there could be some sunny breaks this afternoon and throughout Thursday.

Temperatures across the South Coast will return to their normal seasonal values.
