Last week Live Nation announced that Canadian indie music darlings Metric will play Vancouver at the tail end of spring for two all-ages shows at the Malkin Bowl (The bowl has been getting a lot more concert this season) in Stanley Park. The shows are set for Friday June 11 and June 12.
This was a huge announcement for me as readers of the blog and those that follow me on twitter know that I am a huge fan. However, sadly the dates of the show most likely guarantee I can’t go. No matter they’ll be coming back to Vancouver again soon, I hope.
Frontwoman the very sexy Emily Haines and the rest of the Juno award winning crew will perform songs from their latest album Fantasies. Of course they might also play their older hits Poster of a Girl, Combat Baby, Monster Hospital, Empty and Too Little, Too Late. Joining Metric on both nights will be special guests Phantogram.
Who: Metric When: June 11th and 12th Where: Malkin Bowl (in Stanley Park) Tickets: start at $36.50 an are still available from www.livenation.com.
