McLean, Ronning, Courtnall and Babych Play Pond Hockey with Fans (VIDEO)

DH Vancouver Staff Feb 24, 2014 6:17 pm

Make Hockey Happen has made a new film this year, and were joined by some legends from the 1994 Vancouver Canucks team. This year’s video features Kirk McLean, Cliff Ronning, Geoff Courtnall and Dave Babych and shows what it would be like to play shinny with some of the players that you idolized while growing up.

I had a chance to view some of the raw footage before the video was released, and I must say, all four of the Canucks were in a league of their own. Tape-to-tape passes, perfect shots, and dekes where the puck never even left their stick.

The guys from Make Hockey Happen have been making the annual trip up to Green Lake near 70 Mile House for nine years, and have made films for the last three years. I recommend to check out all of their videos, as there is nothing more Canadian then playing hockey all day long on a frozen lake with your best friends.
