Perry claimed that he and a friend beat up the Prime Minister out of “pure jealousy” during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel last month. The PM clearly hadn’t forgotten about the interview and used it to poke fun at the 47-year-old on April Fools’ Day.
I've been giving it some thought, and you know what, who hasn't wanted to punch Chandler? How about a rematch @MatthewPerry?

Though some people fell for the PM’s fighting words, his Press Secretary later confirmed it was indeed an April Fools’ prank.
Nevertheless Perry, who is famous for playing Chandler Bing on Friends, took to Twitter just to turn down any prospective bout.
@JustinTrudeau I think I will pass at your request for a rematch kind sir (given that you currently have an army at your disposal)

So there you have it. Sadly it looks like we won’t be seeing Trudeau v. Perry in the squared circle anytime soon…
