Police in Maple Ridge are looking for a man who allegedly masturbated in public near an elementary school.

According to a release by Ridge Meadows RCMP, there have been two separate witness accounts of an unknown male exposing and touching himself at the 12400 block of 220 A Street, near Alouette Elementary School. Both incidents happened in the morning on consecutive days, on Monday at 7 a.m. and Tuesday at 8 a.m.

“The incidents are in a residential area, and near an elementary school,” said Sergeant Brenda Gresiuk in a statement. “Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man. This is a busy time of the day and police are interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen the vehicle or suspect.”

The suspect has been described by police as a Caucasian male, between the ages of 30 to 35 years old. At the time, he was sitting in a grey or tan car, like a Honda Civic.

Anyone who may have information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call Ridge Meadows RCMP at 604-463-6251 or Crime Stoppers’ anonymous hotline at 1-800-222-8477.
