20-year-old man dies after daylight shooting in Abbotsford

A 20-year-old man is dead after a daylight shooting in Abbotsford on Friday afternoon.

In a release, Abbotsford Police said they – along with along with ambulance and fire crews – were called to a residence in the 3500 block of Chase Street.

There, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds, who died of his injuries before he could be taken to hospital.

According to The Integrated Homicide Team [IHIT], the shooting took place at 2:30 pm and the victim was identified as Jaskarn Lally. A Ford F-150 was reportedly seen fleeing the scene.

At this stage of investigation, “this appears to be a targeted incident,” the APD said.
