RCMP have arrested a 28-year-old male for stealing two poppy boxes at two separate locations on the evening of November 4.

The male suspect took the donation box off the counter of a drug store on Lonsdale Avenue, then 20 minutes later stole the Poppy donation box from the counter of a gas station a few blocks away.

According to police, the arrest made yesterday evening was with the help of tips from the public. CCTV footage captured the man while he was venturing in the stores that evening.

Police will be recommending criminal charges of theft. The suspect will appear in North Vancouver court on December 10.
