After receiving reports of a man “aggressively selling” perfume in North Delta, police announced they have now arrested a man in connection with the case.

On Facebook, Delta Police said that in response to the reports, an officer attended the 7000 block of 120th Street on July 9 and found a man who matched the description of the suspect.

“A fraud investigation was conducted, and police seized 130 bottles of suspected counterfeit perfume, and arrested the man,” said police.

The department also said it acknowledges that “there has been speculation recently on social media about perfume sellers potentially incapacitating clients via drugs.”

However, in this particular instance, “there was no evidence to support these allegations.”

Furthermore, they added, police have not had any complaints of this nature specifically in Delta.

The investigation is ongoing.
