Major SkyTrain delays due to medical emergency at 29th Avenue Station

Passengers on the Expo and Millennium lines are experiencing major delays this Friday evening. Emergency crews are at 29th Avenue Station to respond to a medical emergency.

The incident occurred at approximately 9 p.m. and has resulted in single tracking from Commercial-Broadway Station to Patterson Station. A bus shuttle service has been put into service between Nanaimo Station and Joyce Station as trains are not stopping at 29th Avenue Station.

The Millennium Line is also affected; train service on the Millennium Line is only running between VCC-Clark Station and Columbia Station.

Delays on SkyTrain are expected to continue throughout the evening.

  • UPDATE at 12 a.m. – Regular train service has resumed and the bus bridge between stations has ended.
