Assuming you have never worked in Vancouver’s Purdy’s Chocolate factory, this upcoming employment opportunity might be the closest you’ll ever get to being a real-life Oompa Loompa.

Over the coming weeks and months, over 500 positions need to be filled at Lush Cosmetics’ manufacturing department in Vancouver to assist the company with meeting its supply needs ahead of the busy Christmas season.

Lush is best known for producing and selling a wide variety of bath products, facial cleansers, makeups, and all things perfumed.

The entry-level positions with the Vancouver-based company are on a temporary basis. Although no experience is necessary, those with prior experience in manufacturing or warehousing will be an asset.

“The benefit of working at Lush, especially within manufacturing and distribution, is that you are able to say you’ve been a part of making and packing the beautiful products you find in our retail shops – all across North America,” said Ashley Feist, the Manufacturing Recruiter for Lush Cosmetics.

“It’s also probably one of the only jobs where you will leave smelling better than you did when you first walked in.”

Benefits for working with Lush in manufacturing include a 50% discount on public transit passes and product discounts.

With their resume in hand, individuals interested in the positions should attend one of nearly two dozen job fairs scheduled from early-August to late-October:

And just as a reminder, the last Parq Vancouver job fair is slated for the afternoon of Wednesday, August 2. Over 1,000 positions in hospitality need to be filled ahead of the casino hotel resort’s opening this fall.
