Loverboy will be turning it loose New Year’s Eve in Metro Vancouver

Canadian icons Loverboy will rock in the New Year at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on December 31, 2014.

Formed in 1979 in Calgary when vocalist Mike Reno was introduced to local guitar hot shot Paul Dean, Loverboy went on to sell more than 10 million albums with four being certified Multi-Platinum. The band won a still-record six Juno Awards in 1982 and until a three-year sabbatical in 1989, was one of the Top Five grossing touring acts in the world performing in over 100 cities across North America.

Their string of hits includes “Turn Me Loose”, “The Kid is Hot Tonite”, “When It’s Over”, “Hot Girls in Love”, “Queen of the Broken Hearts”, “Lovin’ Every Minute of It”, “This Could Be the Night”, “Heaven in Your Eyes”, “Notorious” and their mega-party anthem, “Working for the Weekend”. In 2009, they were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Aside from Reno and Dean, the group’s line-up also consists of original members Doug Johnson and Matt Frenette along with Ken “Spider” Sinneave who joined in 2001.
