Did you buy a lottery ticket in Kelowna recently?

If so, you might want to check your numbers today.

The BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) announced today that a ticket sold in the Okanagan city matched all six numbers from across Canada in last night’s Lotto 6/49.

What does this mean exactly? How about a $16.7 million jackpot for the lucky ticket holder?

Damn.

As per BCLC regulations, all prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize.

In a release, BCLC said the specific retail location where a winning lottery ticket was purchased, and the winners’ name will be announced after they have come forward to claim their prize.

The largest jackpot ever offered in Canada was $64 million for a Lotto 6/49 draw in October 2015. The winning ticket for that jackpot was purchased in Ontario.
