Art Signified, the event promotion and artist management company, is celebrating their three year anniversary this weekend. The company has been an important force in supporting Vancouver’s underground art and music community, placing an emphasis on quality and integrity, as well as putting on creative concerts like Psych Fest and Burger Fest.

The anniversary show is another one of Art Signified’s exciting events that celebrates the city’s artistic talents. Last year’s party was a huge success, with close to 30 different bands on two stages over two nights. This year’s show is also held over two days, taking place at the Rickshaw Theatre on Friday, January 8 and Saturday, January 9.

It’s presented in collaboration with local music magazine Not Your Scene and features a stacked roster of about 10 performers each evening, including Waingro, Eric Campbell & The Dirt, Anchoress, and BRASS, alongside guest DJs Smokey Sko, Chris Raffin, and Dylan Kirby. There will also be an art and photography showcase, with various prints exhibited throughout the venue, and screenings of Not Your Scene/Stone Mountain Film’s live music films on the theatre’s big screen. Merlyn Chipman’s visuals will accompany the bands. And just as one might hope from a company that is dedicated to supporting and strengthening the underground, 100% of all profits will be split evenly to the bands.
