Local Tech Company launches Hip Hop focused Opposition music network

Today, Vancouver based leading media and technology company BroadbandTV (BBTV) announces the launch of its new music network Opposition. The Hip Hop focused Opposition rolls-out with a diverse roster of industry heavyweight partnersincluding rappers Crooked I – now known as KXNG Crooked – of Slaughterhouse, Twista and Yung Simmie; producers Jahlil Beats, 1500 or Nothin’ and Statik Selektah; directors Mr. Zae and Hi-Def; and brands WorldStarHipHop and All Hip Hop All The Time.

The BBTV team has grounded Opposition in true hip hop ideals, differentiating the network from competitors who have incorporated hip hop into broader musical genres. The network will promote both up-and-coming and established talents, helping them with all aspects of their careers including marketing and creative support, branded entertainment, content strategy, content production, and digital distribution.

The Opposition launch aligns with BBTV’s aggressive growth strategy that most recently included its expansion to New York City, a recent production deal with FremantleMedia, and a high-value rebrand of its major gaming network TGN. The company currently operates the third largest Multi-Channel Network (MCN) on YouTube globally, and achieves three billion monthly impressions across its network boasting over 25,000 partners, cementing themselves as one of the largest and fastest growing players in the industry.

BBTV’s MCN business runs parallel with the company’s Professional Services where BBTV works with brands including the NBA, FremantleMedia, Sony Pictures and A&E to provide accurate and scalable content management, optimization and monetization solutions to generate significant revenues from their fan-uploaded content.
