Where to catch live music in Vancouver every night of the week

When was the last time you felt bored in Vancouver? (Be honest.)

The city offers a wealth of options for the outdoor adventure enthusiast year-round. But when the transition to Raincouver happens, the number of people who want to spend their free time outside drops significantly because nobody wants to get, you know, drenched in torrential rain.

This doesn’t mean you should stay at home — there’s a massive live music scene waiting to be discovered. In fact, you can catch a live music show every night of the week in Vancouver, each one more diverse than the next.

And since music helps connect you with your city and share in the joy that local artists’ sounds bring about, we’ve teamed up with the city car that does the same thing,  the Chevrolet Spark. Here are seven venues to hear live music around Vancouver, one for each day of the week.

Monday – The Libra Room

Start your week off on a high note at the Libra Room on Commercial Drive. This cozy spot is the only place in Vancouver where you’ll find live music seven nights a week, so if you like it on a Monday you can keep on going back. Order some bites and check out the musicians on the performance stage. You might hear a jazz band or piano player the next Monday you visit.

Address: 1608 Commercial Drive

Tuesday – The Revel Room

Pat’s dates back to the early 1900s when it was a jazz hotspot. Although times have changed, this spot is still very much about live music with different bands playing throughout the week. On Wednesdays, feel as though you’re taking a journey back in time when you hear live blues band perform from 7 to 11 pm.

Kick off the weekend early at Vancouver’s only country saloon and BBQ. This place has everything from line dancing to bull riding, and slow-smoked meats, as well as live music. On Thursdays, you might hear a live country band or a DJ playing the best country hits, either way, you’ll be up dancing! Wear a checkered shirt or cowboy boots (if you have them) and saddle up for a great time.

The best part of seeing live music in your city is the chance to connect with new people and experiences. So it makes sense to have a fuel-efficient city car that helps you stay connected and get from one location to another. The Chevrolet Spark does this by giving you all the tech you need on the go.

This includes advanced phone integration such as Apple CarPlay, MyLink with a 7” capacitive touch screen available 4G LTE WiFi, a rearview camera, and 10 airbags.

If you choose the automatic transmission, you’ll save money on gas as it offers a highway fuel consumption rating of just 6.2 L/100 km.
