It’s looking like a real French invasion on Vancouver’s Robson Street. Paris’ L’Éclair de Génie, the patisserie that focuses on just éclairs, is opening up their first Canadian location this spring.

Mario Negris and George Richmond of CBRE represented the landlord in the deal that lands L’Éclair de Génie at 1210 Robson Street. The Parisien eclair shop will be situated just down the street from the other sweet French import, Ladurée, famous for their macarons.

L’Éclair de Génie is known for their broad spectrum of novelty eclairs, in flavours like salted caramel with mascarpone, Lemon Yuzu, and special limited-edition flavours, all beautifully presented in dazzling colours with sweet accents. In addition to eclairs, they sell other sweet goodies, like caramel sauces, jams, and more.

The chain has locations in France, as well as in China, Japan, and Italy. L’Éclair de Génie was launched in Paris in 2012 by UK-born Christophe Adam.
