Vancouver is getting ready to host one of the most spectacular light festivals of the year – Le Homes: Lanterns In The Garden.

Taking place at the city’s Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden for three magical weekends starting Friday, February 16, this is one event that you really don’t want to miss.

Inspired by ancient Chinese folktales, the mythical display is set to transform the downtown garden into a land of fantasies and dreams, with an abundance of beautifully-themed lanterns, delicious food, and eclectic activities.

There’s going to be a food yard filled with delicacies that will give you a taste of Yuanxiao. Roasted chestnuts, pork buns, Chinese-style pancakes, and rice balls with sweet fillings inside are just some of the tasty treats that you’ll find on the menu. Live performances including opera, instrumentals, and dancing by local and Chinese artists, will keep you entertained as you saunter around the garden.

Regular tickets to the event are on sale now via Le Homes: Lanterns In The Garden. And if you’re new to Evo CarShare, you’ll be guaranteed a free Evo membership plus one-hour of free driving (worth over $55) when you buy your ticket. You’ll be sent a form via email after you buy your ticket and receive an Evo promo code to use.

If you’re following Le Homes: Lanterns in the Garden on Facebook, Instagram, or WeChat, you’ll be in with a chance of winning a $1,000 credit provided by VIA Rail Canada. If you’re chosen as the winner, you could use the credit for the trip of a lifetime on a journey through the Rockies because the $1,000 credit can be used on any train destination, for any passes – in the class you desire.

Additionally, by visiting this year’s Le Homes: Lanterns in the Garden festival and sharing your photos across the above social channels with the hashtag #LIG2018, @trumpvancouver (Instagram and Facebook), @Mott32Van (Instagram and Facebook), @DraisVan (Instagram)/DraisVancouver (Facebook), you can participate in a photo contest to win one of many luxury gifts. The prizes up for grabs include a spa massage, afternoon tea, cocktail tasting, lunch for two from Mott 32, The Spa, Drai’s Vancouver, and more.

Hold on, it gets better: You could be going along to Le Homes: Lanterns in the Garden for free simply by entering the contest below. There are five pairs of tickets up for grabs and you can boost your chances of winning by tagging more friends in new comments.
