We’ve been waiting for the Laurence & Chico Café to offer their highly-anticipated high tea service ever since the stunning and bizarre cafe and retail shop opened in Vancouver’s West End in June, and now it’s finally here.

The technicolour 833 Bute Street space began offering its $49 Rabbit’s Foot High Tea on November 16, and we were one of the first to taste this epic spread.

Patrons can cozy up in the cafe’s signature Monster Chairs and matching stools to gather around an intimate table that makes you feel more like you’re in a fuzzy fort than an eatery.

The menu was carefully-crafted by Chef Tobias Grignon, who chose a selection of savoury eats includes Chicken Liver Onigiri, Egg Salad Charcoal Cracker, and a tender Elk Umeboshi Tartare to name a few.

On the sweet side of things, tea-goers can enjoy a rotating selection of sweets including a Chocolate Ganache Tarte, Parsnip Brown Butter Mochi Cake, and a house-baked scone.

Presentation and flavour are unique at this tea, making it just as Insta-worthy as it is drool-worthy.

If you’re ready to experience a trippy tea like no other, we recommend making a reservation and trying out the Rabbit’s Food High Tea for yourself.
