Shooting in Langley leaves one man dead

A man died after being shot in Langley on Saturday afternoon.

Just before 2 pm, Langley RCMP was called to the 8800 block of 201 Street, for reports of gunshots.

Upon their arrival, police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds, who succumbed to his injuries.

“Based on the investigative theory in this initial phase, this does not appear to be a random act,” Langley RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Holly Largy said in a release.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has also been called and will be working in partnership with the Langley RCMP.
