Woman arrested after truck hits 5 vehicles and a business in Langley

A woman was arrested in Langley on Tuesday morning, after the truck she was travelling in hit five vehicles and a building in a city parking lot.

According to Langley RCMP, after the multiple collisions, the truck – a Dodge pickup – then left the lot and travelled northbound on 200th street, where officers were able to stop it.

Corp. Holly Largy said the truck’s driver – a 20-year-old woman of no fixed address – told officers “she was unaware she had damaged any vehicles.”

She then attempted to jump out of the truck and run away, said Largy, but was quickly arrested.

Officers issued the woman tickets for failing to remain, open liquor possession, and for operating a defective vehicle, said Largy.

A man, who police believe was driving the truck when the collisions took place, was seen running from the vehicle near the parking lot.

Police believe that man is wanted on outstanding warrants, but have not released his – or the woman’s – identity.
