You know the saying “it felt like I got hit by a truck”?

A youngster by the name of Ismail Zaid certainly does.

Participating in a ‘Pros vs Joes’ event in Winnipeg, Ismail was helping out former CFL defensive lineman Jordan Reaves in the slam dunk contest.

The brother of Pittsburgh Penguins winger Ryan Reaves, Jordan was to jump over Ismail and throw down a dunk to the delight of the crowd.

Just one problem: he slipped.

That wouldn’t be good news for Ismail at the best of times, it’s even worse when the guy running towards you is a 6-foot-4, 220-pound former Saskatchewan Roughrider.

Poor Ismail got a knee right in the face.

Here’s the video:

Thankfully, Ismail was ok.

“Pros vs Joes was a huge success! Thanks to all that supported,” Reaves wrote on his personal Instagram account. “A huge shout out to the champ [Ismail], my man walked out with a smile.”
