UPDATE:Vancouver police say death of man at Kingsgate Mall an accident

UPDATE: Detectives investigating the death of a man found in a parking lot at Kingsgate Mall yesterday have determined his death was not criminal in nature.

Investigators worked with the BC Coroners office, and it appears the man died from an accidental fall.

The deceased has been identified as a 24-year-old man visiting Vancouver from the United Kingdom.

Vancouver Police are investigating what they say is a “suspicious” death, after an incident in the parking lot of Kingsgate Mall, early Thursday morning.

Just after 1:30 am, police responded to a call regarding a man suffering from apparent medical distress in the mall’s parking lot.

BC Ambulance responded to the scene as well and the man was rushed to hospital where he died.

Police said investigators are at the scene and will continue to work with the BC Coroners Officer to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
