Anyone who has visited Mount Pleasant’s Kingsgate Mall will know about the beloved shopping establishment’s unique charms: The people, the cut price FUBU jeans, the liquor store, the portal to a seemingly bygone age where decor has never been updated….
Yes, in news that will be music to the ears of entrepreneurs interested in entering into the tubular meat business, the mall’s infamous snack stop has been listed for sale.
The beloved (by this writer anyway) snack stop, which plays host to an eclectic menu serving up everything from permanently on-sale sugarcane juice to lobster rolls, is currently listed for sale for the bargain price of $54,000.
“Bistro Cafe /Juice/Hot dog stand in Kingsgate Mall-Vancouver,” the listing reads. “Selling items include Coffee/Tea, Bubble tea, Ice Cream, Soup, Sandwiches, Fresh Sugarcane Juice, Dumplings, Lobster Snacks, etc,” it continues.
The selling points don’t stop there however. Interested parties will no doubt have their ears pricked by the promise of “No competition” or the fact that no experience is necessary in order to take on this Mount Pleasant institution. Indeed, as the listing itself states you can “bring your own ideas to expand the business or simply continue the same concept.”
Judging by the photos that accompany the listing, buyers will also be able to get their hands on appliances, a half used can of ketchup, and the same four hotdogs that have been rotating in the display case for the past four years (only kidding, I’ve bought at least four dogs from there over the past six months alone.)
So what are you waiting for?
Check under your mattress, call in those loans, and empty your bank account. I mean, if the photos that accompany the listing are anything to go by you’re going to have to act fast if you want to take a bite out of this mouthwatering mall-based action.
