Kim-Jong Il Statue Robson Square

If you happened to walk by Robson Square this weekend, for might have done a double take when you saw a giant statue of Kim-Jong Il.

In addition to the monument to the Dear Leader, green screens were also erected for the filming of Seth Rogen and James Franco’s latest movie.

The two actors are in town to film “The Interview,” a comedy about a talk-show host and his producer who become part of a plan to assassinate the leader of North Korea.

Crowds walking by were snapping photos all weekend of the giant statue.

While on a break from filming, Rogen and Franco also filmed their Bound 2 spoof in Vancouver.
