JOEYs will serve chicken pot pies to Vancouverites in need today

Mar 21 2017, 12:29 am

JOEY Restaurants has partnered with Covenant House Vancouver and Global Gourmet Foods for the annual Cup of Care program to put 780 hearty chicken pot pies into the hands of Vancouverites in need.

The pies will be given out today (Monday, March 20) and Friday, March 24 at Covenant House’s Drake and Pender locations. These 780 hot meals are just a fraction of the 6,000 being distributed across Canada, Seattle, and Los Angeles through the Cup of Care program in 2017.

Founded in 2008, Cup of Care began when JOEY set out to explore a way to give back to the communities they operate in through a companywide philanthropic program that partners with local shelters and organizations. Now nine years later, the program is still going strong – and they’ve served over 100,000 hot meals to date across all cities they operate in.
