If you want to eat out, there’s one place that should be on your list – Indian Fusion.

Located in North Vancouver’s upper Lonsdale area, the restaurant is a must-visit for fans of South Asian cuisine.

But it’s not your average eatery. It’s a new take on the most incredible traditional food.

Chef Abby Sharma opened the restaurant back in 2008 and his talents have turned it into a place that people always come back to. For Sharma, his inspiration was and still is “a love and passion for food.”

Abby Sharma told Daily Hive that his favourite part of owning Indian Fusion is getting to “meet wonderful people and building relationships.” He also enjoys the fact that he can experiment and play with “ingredients and try to create something new.”

When Sharma first learned how to make traditional Indian food he wasn’t satisfied with the result because there was so much that he wanted to change in each dish. That’s why he puts his own touch on everything you’ll find at Indian Fusion. “Our recipes at are fresh and unique but also simple which is a great way to find that balance in every dish.”

No matter what your preferences are, the culinary artist can cater to your tastebuds and whip up dishes that are totally out of this world. Although Sharma’s most popular dishes include the piping hot mixed grill and delicious curries, he’s a master of appetizers too.

Here are just some of the delicious must-try items you’ll find on the menu at Indian Fusion.

The menu also includes seafood dishes, lamb, chicken, and vegetarian options. You can check out the full menu at Indian Fusion or stop by the restaurant for a memorable sit down meal.

“There are usually three different mother sauces in a Indian restaurant. And if you ever had an experience somewhere when a lot of the food on the menu tastes the same, this will never happen at Indian Fusion because I make sure we make a different sauce for every menu item. Which is how we maintain good quality foods,” Sharma added.
