Vancouver’s tech gem, Hootsuite, a social media management system, today announced that Sujeet Kini has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
In this role, Kini will be responsible for the finance, facilities and legal departments at Hootsuite. Hootsuite also welcomes Paul McFeeters, former CFO of Open Text, to the Hootsuite Board of Directors.
Kini has an extensive background in corporate finance and accounting at both public and private companies. He most recently served as chief accounting officer at Open Text, an Ontario-based software company, which develops and sells enterprise information management solutions.
A seasoned CFO with more than 30 years of leadership, technology and finance experience, McFeeters has performed the duties of chief financial officer, as well as chief administrative officer of Open Text.
Both Kini and McFeeters will come on board to aid with the financial management and governance of Hootsuite, which has been speculated to go public next year, as the tech company continues to grow and develop.
“2016 is shaping up to be another high growth year for us. We’re excited to welcome Sujeet to our leadership team and Paul to our Board of Directors,” Ryan Holmes, CEO of Hootsuite, said in a statement. “Their strong financial leadership is ideal for the next chapter in Hootsuite’s growth.”
“I’m looking forward to being part of an exciting journey and contributing to a success story. Hootsuite is a true visionary in social, and with more than 10 million users, and is well positioned for success,” says Kini, Hootsuite’s newly appointed CFO.
