If anyone is travelling down to Los Angeles anytime soon, they may be able to swipe their way to a date with Hilary Duff – and possibly make it into a reality show.
The singer-actress confirmed to radio station MYfm 104.3 FM on Tuesday, “It’s true, I’m on Tinder.”
She told the Valentine in the Morning show that she is currently talking to nine guys and is excited to be dating “normies”.
So, what does the star look for in a Tinder-date?
“Someone who looks like they do fun things and can make you laugh in their profile.”
She says definite left-swipes go toward one type of guy: “I don’t want to see a shirtless mirror selfie. That’s instantly a left swipe.”
Now 27 years old, Duff rose to fame in 2001 as title character Lizzie McGuire in Disney Channel’s popular television series. The ratings-hit ran for 65 episodes and was turned into a feature film, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, in 2003. She then released three pop albums between 2003 and 2007 with hits including “Come Clean”, “So Yesterday” and “Wake Up”.
Though Duff’s dating history is short compared to most young stars, her ex-flames, Aaron Carter, Joel Madden and Mike Comrie, have all be celebrities. Her Tinder experience will likely change that.
“We’re going bowling by the way. I like that. I’ve never just dated a total normie.”
According to TMZ, there were cameras rolling during Duff’s date on Tuesday at the bowling alley. The celebrity gossip site speculates that she is possibly filming for an upcoming reality show on life as a single mom after divorce.
Duff recently divorced Canadian hockey player Mike Comrie who previously played centre for the Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Phoenix Coyotes, Ottawa Senators, New York Islanders, and the Pittsburgh Penguins during his 13-year career. Comrie’s father was founder of Canadian furntiture giant The Brick, which sold for $700 million 2012.
The pair have one son, 3-year-old Luca.
