Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service investigating a potential Hazmat incident on Knight Street have determined the area to be safe again.

Meanwhile, Vancouver Police and the BC Coroners Service are looking into the suspected drug overdose deaths of two people in the same area.
According to a release, Fire and Rescue called the VPD to help on the 4000 block of Knight Street (around Knight Street and E 23rd Avenue) at around 11:30 am on Tuesday.

At the time, the VPD issued a statement saying:
“All precautions are being taken and the scene is being treated as a potential hazmat scene.
“Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service have the lead on the hazmat scene and the VPD will continue with the suspicious death investigation.”
