Happy Hours: half-priced cocktails Tuesday nights at The Emerald

We’re sipping our way through Vancouver’s happy hours one drink at a time. Happy Hour is an important time in everyone’s life – or at least, it should be.

If you’re in Chinatown looking for a little hair of the dog, then look no further than The Emerald Supper Club and Cocktail Lounge.

Located at 555 Gore Avenue, this spot is like a little slice of Las Vegas right in the heart of Vancouver because of its killer decor and atmosphere, oh, and the drinks aren’t too shabby either.

With a happy hour that runs from Tuesday to Friday from 5 to 7 pm, The Emerald is a great place to grab a few cocktails and kick off your evening of events, activities, or debauchery – especially if it’s a Tuesday evening – because all cocktails are 50% off all night, meaning you’re in for one serious deal.

From Wednesday to Friday patrons can look forward to the same half-priced cocktails within the 5 to 7 pm time frame, along with beer and wine specials and food features too.

Expect to see some signature libations from the eclectic bar including the Twinkly Eyed made with Absolut Elyx vodka, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, and champagne, the NY Sour made with Jameson Irish Whiskey and a claret float, and the White Russian featuring housemade Kahlua.

While this spot’s cocktail menu is ever-changing, staples like the Moscow Mule will be sticking around to welcome new additions this spring like the spicy Jalapeño Margarita, and the Ginny Hendrix, featuring Hendrick’s Gin and Taboo Absinthe.

Combine these offerings with a great selection of local and international wine and beer, along with bites from the happy hour food menu with selections ranging from $5 to $10 (think crispy fried cauliflower, sliders, chicken wings), and you’ve got the recipe for a winning evening.
