It appears Halloween will be a wet one this year, with a 90% chance of rain falling throughout Saturday and into the evening.
The Weather Network is calling for 20 to 30 mm of rain on Halloween, along with 15 km/hour winds and a high of 14°C. Temperatures will drop to 9°C Saturday night.
Halloween weather is a great conundrum for parents and those in costumes. With Vancouver’s climate, there is always a fairly good chance that painstakingly-created outfit will have to be covered up with a raincoat. On the bright side, bad weather often keeps the mischievous revelers away, meaning there will hopefully be more treat than trick.
Saturday’s weather is part of a system moving throughout the region this week, which is expected to bring 25 to 35 mm of rain and 35 km/hour winds to the city on Friday. By Tuesday, however, skies will clear for a period of cooler but sunnier weather.
