Gerald Battersby pleading guilty in B.C. Supreme Court to several counts of attempted murder.

The crown is asking for the 62-year-old to serve 18 years minus time served.

Battersby’s former boss Paul Dragon was shot in broad daylight in June 2014.

Dragon, who owns Reckless Bikes in Yaletown, recovered despite initially being in critical condition.

The shooting set off a police chase along the False Creek seawall towards Science World and shut down that part of the city for hours.
