It’s time to connect with inspired talent nationwide at the latest online job fair. The same guys who brought us the BC Tech Fair, want to help Canada’s technology companies connect with inspired, passionate talent through the Growth Canada Career Expo. The organizers are KarmaHire, a Vancouver company revolutionizing the online recruiting sector. It all starts January 22nd from the comfort of your own chair.
It’s a competitive market out there in the technology recruiting world, and companies that tell their story, focus on employer branding, and market their companies well are seeing huge benefits. Its all about getting your employer brand out in the world, and participating in an online job fair is a great way to do it.
It is a nationwide online career fair with goals of increasing the exposure of every technology company in Canada, this event will span several cities including Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Ottawa.
“Our first event, the BC Tech Fair, was met with overwhelming demand. There are a lot of people looking for exciting opportunities with great companies, and not a lot of places to find them. We thought to ourselves, why not go nationwide and rally Canada’s growth stories together in one place?” says Founder and CEO of KarmaHire, James Clift.
40 companies are already confirmed including Hootsuite, Build Direct, Vision Critical, Payfirma, and The Working Group. Candidates looking for exciting new opportunities can pre-register at http://growthcanada.ca.
There are also a few spots left for hiring companies looking to get in on the action.
How It Works.
An online job fair takes the best parts of a regular job fair and is as convenient as it gets. After signing up, a company representative builds a sharp looking page showcasing their company culture, work environment, and open jobs.
The best part of all is that tt can be done in less than 10 minutes.
On the day of a live event, job seekers will explore Canada’s hottest technology companies ranging from music to social media, to artificial intelligence. They can live chat with company representatives, drop off their resumes and portfolios, and build relationships with inspiring companies Nationwide.
KarmaHire’s last event (the 2012 BC Tech Fair) had over 40 companies, 3000 candidates, and 30,000 pageviews. The Globe and Mail is a media sponsor for this Cross-Canada event, and companies such as Hootsuite, Payfirma, J2, Move Canada, and Build Direct are already confirmed.
Candidates and companies can register for the event at http://growthcanada.ca.
