Canada’s largest online eyewear retailer ClearlyContacts.ca is gearing up to host and take part in the Grouse Grind Challenge, taking place on Grouse Mountain this Sunday. In addition to ClearlyContacts.ca acting as title sponsor, CEO Roger Hardy will be running the grind along with other members of the ClearlyContacts.ca team.
The 23rd Annual Grouse Grind Mountain Challenge expects to draw several hundred professional and amateur competitors from across the country. Tickets are $47 and all proceeds from the run provide funds directly to the annual Grind For Kids campaign in support of B.C. Children’s Hospital.
“As a Vancouver based company, the Grouse Grind is a key element to the culture at ClearlyContacts.ca; a large group of us here do the grind at least once a week,” said Roger Hardy, CEO of ClearlyContacts.ca. “We are thrilled, once again, to be title sponsor of this year’s ClearlyContacts.ca Grouse Grind Mountain Challenge and we look forward to seeing other companies and friends from around the Lower Mainland at the top on race day.”
All racers can look forward to a gathering at the top of the mountain to toast finishing the grueling climb. Recognitions and draw prizes for the Grouse Grind Challenge will take place at the top of the mountain. The prize money up for grabs is a shared total of $5,000.
“I’ve worked hard to instill healthy habits into our company culture,” said Hardy. “I’m a strong believer that leading a healthy lifestyle keeps the mind sharp.”
Hardy’s colleagues have been quick to follow his lead by creating a Fit Club where members from each department come up with initiatives that promote health throughout the company.
