GOON Benefit Screening at the Rio Theatre

Vancouver’s favourite independently owned and operated neighbourhood theatre is pleased to present a live hockey charity event, with partial proceeds in support of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. Join them for a night of laughs, the soon-to-be-cult classic Goon, the best popcorn in the city and some good old-fashioned Christmas cheer. 

The event will be hosted by Patrick Maliha and feature the comedic stylings of Charlie DemersThe Hockey Gods‘ own Don Berry (aka Jacques Lalonde) and some of East Vancouver’s very own Comedy All-Stars (Ian Boothby, Ryan Steele, Shaun Stewart, Amy Goodmurphy, and more!). They are excited to present director Michael Dowse’s (It’s All Gone Pete TongFubarGoon, starring Jay Baruchel (who also co-wrote the script with Superbad and Pineapple Express’ Evan Goldberg), Seann William ScottLiev SchreiberEugene Levy and Alison Pill.
