The Good Stuff launches smoothie store front in Kits

The Good Stuff has earned a dedicated following for their home delivery pre-batched smoothies, and have recently launched a pop-up store front in Kitsilano.

Taking over the space formerly occupied by meal delivery service Fresh Prep, The Good Stuff’s co-founder Tonner Jackson tells Daily Hive via phone that he and the team welcome the opportunity to take over the lease temporarily and to get a sense for how they can expand their brand in a retail space.

Situated in a neighbourhood where The Good Stuff already has a number of smoothie customers, the retail space boasts a commercial kitchen, which has given them the chance to add warming soups to their menu, along with a line of “powerballs”–high protein and nutrient dense snacks in flavours like Cherry Almond, Cocoa Coffee, and Raspberry Coconut.

The shop also serves hot tea and coffee, and there are plans to team up with the enroot meal delivery service in order to have fresh sandwiches and salads on offer in the shop.

Of course, the main attraction at The Good Stuff are their nutritional powerhouse smoothies, which are blended to order (home delivery customers receive “kits” with frozen ingredients in compostable cups and add their own liquids and blend).

For the store, The Good Stuff has a number of custom liquids to add to their roster of smoothies, with staff able to suggest the best match ups–for example that The Diesel Monster tastes great with cashew mylk.

The Good Stuff makes their own almond, coconut, mango coconut, and cashew mylks in house–all of their smoothies can be made vegan, though the shop does have cow’s milk in stock for those who request it. Other options are coconut water, apple juice, and orange juice.

Customers who are already signed up for home delivery with The Good Stuff can opt to pick up their order from the store now–perfect for if you return from a trip mid-week and want to jump right back into blending–and the retail space also accords an opportunity for new customers to try out a smoothie and then sign up for delivery.

Jackson says The Good Stuff will be in the Kits space until at least the end of March, however there’s a good chance the biz will be able to sign on to stay a little longer. The shop is currently open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and Saturdays 10 am to 3 pm.
