It’s no secret that student housing is at a premium in Vancouver. Hundreds of thousands of international students flood the province every year and they need a place to land – somewhere comfortable, safe, affordable, and quiet for those long study sessions.

With a 0.3 per cent rental vacancy rate in Vancouver, students often find themselves with nowhere to go as the school year rapidly approaches; or worse, after it has already started.

And the problem is only going to get worse. Currently there are more than 5,000 students on the waitlist for dormitories at UBC, and there’s expected to be a further 100 per cent growth in international students by 2022.

Global Education Cities is developing student housing with all of this in mind. They have five properties in different stages of development around Vancouver, with their Granville Street location available for bookings now.

The amenities at the Granville location include a penthouse level whirlpool, fitness center and dry sauna, as well as breathtaking views from the rooftop terrace.

Global Education Cities’ mandate is to offer access to, and provide, safe, secure and comfortable accommodations to foreign and domestic students, thereby helping to give them a positive, meaningful experience while they live and study in Vancouver.
