Take a step back into Vancouver’s past and learn about the haunted history of Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhood, Gastown.

On this 90 minute walking tour you will learn about a terrible curse placed on Gastown, a town renown for its wild west legacy of drinking, gambling, smuggling, and harsh justice in the form of hangings.

Guides will share with you the stories of the infamous Gassy Jack, the Great Fire, Blood Alley, Gaoler’s Mews and many other ghost encounters ranging from the friendly and interesting to bone-chilling scares.

The tour will appeal to those who crave a deeper look into the history of Gastown as well as anyone who has an interest in the realm of the supernatural. It can be an exciting way to learn about the area’s past or a thorough look into the origins of a number of ghostly spirits. Either way, you’re bound to have a fun.

Tours run most Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.

The tour starts at the Angel Statue outside of Waterfront Station.
