World-renowned artist Gerry Judah has designed a large sculpture to be situated on the corner of one of B.C.’s busiest intersections, Lougheed and Boundary. He is famous for his larger than life sculptures at the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed.

When OpenRoad began discussions with the City of Burnaby about building two dealerships, city officials requested a piece of public art to be incorporated into the plan.

The dealerships, some that have yet to be announced, will include a marquee store for Volkswagen Canada.

OpenRoad Volkswagen held a groundbreaking meet-up event on May 27. Visitors enjoyed German themed treats and beverages and view a display of handpicked classics from local VW enthusiasts and new VW vehicles, including the much anticipated Golf GTI Mk7. OpenRoad VW is expected to open Spring 2015.
