Downtown Vancouver’s only BBQ & Chili festival is back for its third year on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31. Twelve Gastown restaurants will compete in an exciting outdoor cookout offering the best in barbecued pork ribs, chicken wings, beef brisket, and more.
Get ready for two fun filled afternoons of eating, dancing, live music and celebrity judging, all while supporting a great charitable cause.
Food vendors, BBQs, and picnic tables will line the 200 block of Carrall Street between Water and Cordova. Highlights this year include a wing-eating contest, pig roast, beer stand and a special appearance by NHL hockey player, Jason Garrison.
Samples of barbecue and chili will be sold to the public, with proceeds benefiting Athletics for Kids, a non-profit that provides financial aid to help children throughout the province participate in organized sports.
When: August 30 and 31, 2014
