Since its launch in late September, we’ve had our eye on Garmentory, an online marketplace that allows shoppers to browse the sale racks from vetted boutiques and designers. Founded by Adele Teteangco and Sunil Gowda, Garmentory allows you to make an offer on any featured garment, and the participating boutique then chooses to either accept or reject. If accepted, the garment is shipped directly from the boutique to your doorstep. If rejected, you can try, try again!

With its catchy ‘make an offer’ concept that us shoppers can really buy in to (quite literally), we are also digging its minimalist and aesthetically-pleasing design. It feels on-trend, just like the hand-picked boutiques and designers it features – think One of a Few, Obakki, and Charlie & Lee, but look out for expansion across North America. Garmentory also mirrors the shopping experience we’ve come to appreciate at the boutiques we frequent – thoughtful curation, minimalist layout, little disruption, and an exclusive shopping vibe. Garmentory has effectively translated the boutique concept into an online environment, widening the eyes of boutiques and shoppers alike. Now boutiques can have well-curated sales racks all season long and also connect with their customers in a new, fresh way; meanwhile, shoppers can make offers on the brands and designers they love – all from the comfort of their homes. With the cold weather months ahead, what better way to get your shop on?

We caught up with Amaly Narong, Owner of TODΔY You Are Special aka TODΔY to showcase a few of their pieces that went up on Garmentory this week and are available right now. Amaly is a fun, carefree gal that gives us a Rumi Neely kinda vibe. If any of you follow Fashion Toast as religiously as we do, you will know why Amaly’s edgy and minimalist style really resonates. Thanks to throwbacks and her tongue and cheek kinda humour, we’ve come to quickly open up and follow the boutique on the regular. Also noteworthy is TODΔY’s design, primarily built by boyfriend and partner, Dustin Hill. Being as resourceful as possible, Dustin used discarded scrap material from his carpentry work to repurpose into tables and decorations that make the space really feel more like a style installation than it does a storefront.

While TODΔY You Are Special carries both local and international designers, shop owner, Amaly gets a lot of her inspo from the street style in Australia. As quoted, ‘It often conveys a relaxed, and unapologetic demeanour I envy.” Amaly has conveyed that same fun and youthful attitude in the pictures below.

We have a feeling these items (as pictured below) will sell out quickly, so make an offer!

Items up for bid on Garmentory: Maison Scotch black wool coat, Maison Scotch lace insert dress with a-line fit, Maison Scotch wool throw coat with cocoon silhouette in a cream/black check, and more.
