Annual Garlic Festival returns to Richmond for its 8th year

Celebrating the “stinking rose” in all its glory, the Annual Garlic Festival returns to Richmond for its 8th year.

The one-day festival will take place at The Sharing Farm located in Terra Nova Rural Park.

Open to all ages, this free event brings together organically grown artisan garlic and garlic goods. In addition to showcasing strong local flavours (worth getting garlic breath for) the 8th Annual Garlic Festival will feature garlic gurus, family-friendly fare, live entertainment, an expanded farmers’ market, cooking demonstrations, workshops, artisan crafts, and a children’s area.

There will also be an extra “foodie” component to the festival this year. A range of restaurants and chefs have been challenged to create healthy local family-friendly meals with a twist.

For seven years, The Sharing Farm’s signature annual fundraiser, The Garlic Festival, has supported the food-dignity mandate to grow fresh local organic produce for low-income families.
