A full moon morning beach party is happening in Vancouver this weekend

Aug 22 2018, 1:18 am

Set your alarm clock early and get ready for a great time, because a full moon morning beach party is coming to Vancouver this weekend.

Hosted by Party4Health, the event celebrates wellness and community, and wants to prove that “you can party in the morning and it can make you feel great for the rest of the week.”

The morning beach party is a sober event, where attendees will dance, stretch, and socialize at one of Vancouver’s beaches at 8:30 am.

The schedule includes pick-me-up activities such as yoga, Zumba, a limbo competition, and a group dunk in the ocean.

Activities will be powered with music from two large portable speakers and Yerba Mate for party goers.

Party4Health has laid out several guidelines about how to make this a safe and inclusive event:

  • Natural Euphoria: Get high off each other, not off alcohol or drugs. Please do not bring alcohol or drugs to this event.
  • Inclusion: Invite people to join, instead of judging people who feel excluded.
  • Respect: Behave courteously. Practice consent. Think about your impact on others before doing.
  • Leave No Trace: Respect the community in which you party. Police are an utmost ally.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online starting at $10.

The location of Party4Health’s Full Moon Morning Beach Party will be announced to registrants the night before the party but is confirmed to be a beach near the downtown core.
