Valentine’s Day is all about surprises, so how about springing the ultimate surprise with free weddings in Robson Square from Pop Up Weddings?

Now in its second year, Love in the Square is offering free elopements to couples looking to take the plunge this Sunday, February 14. With support from the City of Vancouver, and dozens of officiants, Love in Square married 48 couples in 2015, and hopes to help over 100 tie the knot this year.

The event is taking it up a notch this year, with wedding decor, arches, floral arrangements, and photographers on hand to catch your special day. Registration for the day begins at 11:30 a.m., and weddings will be held from noon until 4:30 p.m. The only thing prospective spouses need is a wedding license, which can be purchased any time before the ceremony. A list of marriage license issuers in Vancouver can be found on Province of British Columbia website.

Make sure to get there early. There’s nothing worse than being late for your own wedding.
