We Day is Free The Children’s annual youth empowerment event that motivates youth to take action on local and global issues. With Demi Lovato, OneRepublic, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and other global personalities and difference makers at the event, it will be an empowering and exciting day.

Teck is launching a #1tweet1life Twitter campaign on Thursday, October 18 for We Day Vancouver.

For every retweet of the @ZincSavesLives We Day message between 8:30 a.m. and midnight PST, Teck will donate $0.50 to Zinc Saves Kids in support of UNICEF’s programs that provide life-saving zinc treatment in Nepal and Peru. A $0.50 donation provides enough zinc tablets and oral rehydration salts to treat a case of acute diarrhea.

“Retweet” the below the @ZincSavesLives #1tweet1life #WeDay message

As one of the world’s largest producers of zinc, Teck recognizes that we have the ability to make a difference. Teck’s Zinc and Health initiative is aimed at raising awareness about this global health issue and supporting efforts such as our “One Tweet, One Life” We Day Twitter campaign to get zinc to those who need it most.

We welcome you to join us for an inspiring day of change.
