Pets can be very expensive and many residents of the Downtown Eastside count on their pets for a little hope and inspiration.
This past Sunday, a few people did what they could to ease the financial burden of owning a pet by holding a Free Animal Health Clinic. Volunteers from Paws for Hope gave the area’s less fortunate a chance to give their animals a free check-up.
Veterinarian Dr. Shawn Llewellyn and his personnel donated their time and supplies to offer veterinary services to check for fleas and worms, some shots and basic pet advice.
Residents brought in their dogs, cats and other pets for basic check ups.
