An annual fall tradition returns to Science World this weekend as the science museum will be opening its doors to the public for free throughout Sunday, October 2.
The free admission day opens the 30-day-long ‘Around The Dome’ Science Festival held at Science World from October 1 to 30. The festival is organized each year to encourage the community to learn about and celebrate science and technology.
Sciecne World’s current feature exhibition is ‘Zoom Into Nano’, an exhibition on the engineering behind nanoscience and its potential future applications in everyday life.
Other events throughout the festival month include an adults-only nerd night, a nighttime ‘science of fear’ event for high school students, a stargazing party, World Food Day celebration, ShakeOut BC earthquake drill, First Responders weekend, and Science World After Dark on Halloween weekend.
