Driver narrowly avoids flying tire on Richmond highway (VIDEO)

A situation involving a runaway tire was a little too close for comfort for one driver on a Metro Vancouver highway and the whole thing was captured on video.

In a dashcam video posted online, a flying tire can be seen coming at a high rate of speed into what looks like a potential collision course with the windshield of a vehicle driving in the opposite direction.

Fortunately, and seemingly at the last second, the driver manages to narrowly avoid what almost certainly result in serious injuries or worse.

The incident reportedly took place on Monday, as the driver was heading into Richmond on Highway 91, just over the Knight Street Bridge.
