The space serves as a hub for outdoor enthusiasts to share their passion for adventure and is designed to showcase not only Fjällräven’s products but also a spirit of exploration.

“Our first Vancouver shop is one of our strongest locations in the Pacific Northwest and we are excited to add a second location within the city to cater to local customers and travellers alike,” said Nathan Dopp, president of Fjällräven North America.

“Like our existing retail brand centres, our new spot in Kitsilano is designed to offer a one-of-a-kind customer experience that allows consumers to get a better sense of the breadth of our products and unique brand attributes,” added Dopp.

The brand’s success in Vancouver underscores how people in Scandinavia and the Pacific Northwest share a common appreciation of sustainability, nature, and design. Fjällräven has decades of experience inspiring individuals to get outside.

The store opening was hosted by YExpedition (an offshoot of Vancouver’s YClout), which is a team of BC based photographers and explorers, who showcased a short film from their two-week expedition by snowmobile across the volcanoes and tundra of central Kamchatka, in the Russian Far East. Outfitted with Fjällräven gear, their cameras, and a couple of quadcopter drones, the team set out with the goal of reaching the region’s remote reindeer herders, who spend their winters in yurts spread out across the vast Siberian tundra while they tend to their herds.
